EXPEDITIONS BY BOAT

When we go by boat, we enter the immensity of the Amazonian rivers, which are called in Peru “water mirrors”. The beauty of these lands is reflected in its waters, duplicating its splendor.

In seasons of rise of the river, we go into trails and ways that become aquatic. We sail in the middle of the forest, in the middle of a surreal landscape. We arrive at the zone of the aquatic giant plants. Science calls them Regis Victory, and they can reach a diameter of 1,5m, enough to hold up a small animal.
To arrive at the Amazon River by boat only takes some minutes. During the journey, it is common to find animals like herons, gray eagles, monkeys, gray dolphins, and the Innia Geofrensis, the Pink River Dolphin (watch video).

This is an extraordinary animal, two meters in length. It only lives in lakes and rivers where the forest is pure. According to the inhabitants of the forest the “Bufeo Colorado" are magical and supernatural animals. It’s believed that the dead children are reborn as dolphins and during the season of freshening they arrive at the Yanayacu area to visit their relatives.

We leave the boat and we meet these little brothers and swim together.
