Peru is the second country with greater number of bird species in the world. More than 1800 have been registered, and every year the list increases.
Counting only endemic species (own of the country), Peru is first in the world ranking. Many of all this birds are in the Amazonian Rainforest.
This is a unique opportunity to observe exotic birds in their natural habitat. Yanayacu river zone is well-known for being home of hundreds of birds.
In order to observe them we make small expeditions early in the morning by boat. During the route its possible to photograph and film them.
The main species that we find in the environs of the Yanayacu River are: White heron, gray heron (ardea cocoi), cormorans, fisher eagle (busarellus nigricolis), harpy eagle, sparrowhawks, tuki tuki, hoatzin, woodpecker (celeus elegans), parrots (farinosa amazon), toucans and more.
